We've had some new rear shocks put in last Friday (Monroe GTs) and there is a damn rattle there now. Sounds like something isn't done up tight. I wanted to see if I could check the top mounts of the shocks, but looking under where the spare wheel is, I can't see how you get to the top nuts.

This could be a silly question, but how do you get to the tops? Does the boot need pulling apart? Under the back seat maybe?

Open the tail gate, lift or remove the carpet, look for the Shock Absorber cover, remove it and then undo nut. Good luck.

If its like the sedan you can't access the top thru the boot.

Jack the car up, take a wheel off and there's 4 15mm bolts holding the strut to the car. Yeah you need to remove the strut and these 4 bolts to access the shock top bolt/nut

Thanks for the replies guys. I'd better break out the jack and axle stands and have a poke around.
