I wouldn't be worried about the compression ratio all you need is a tuner who know what they're doing and it will work in your favour :)

In saying this though I would be more worried about that cam as it would need a redline of atleast 7k to make most of the cam, and that would be stretching the friendship of the ecotec without some serious engine mods. That's if you want the engine to be reliable of course. I suppose it depends on your budget as well.

If you're after reliable big numbers then an area to focus on would be the oiling system, as in high hp application they've been know to spin bearings even if they've been doweled! I know of a ecotec that's making 390kw at the rears, spun cam bearings twice since it was first built 10000ks ago. But we'll get that problem sorted :)

You just have to be careful who you get to build your engine are they're aren't too many V6 specialists around who know how to build one reliably.

vs commodore
yeah ive looked into the oil pressure mods and all that. ive messaged intence in the states as i have all the parts that they put into there race blocks and im just waiting to the specs on wat they do for the oil pressure mods. this is wat they do im just waiting on the correct specs atm.
The crankshaft is polished and the bellhousing machined for an extra oil feed. The rear oil galley is drilled and tapped for an NPT fitting and oil return holes are drilled into the lifter valley. The balance shaft is removed and it's oil feed hole is drilled, tapped and plugged.
