Water in cab.

Guys, it's a 2010 SS ute and we have had a large amount of rain of late where i come from.

Have not driven the car for three days and i get in today to go for a run and there is a pool of water on the right hand side of the go pedal, slightly back towards the drivers seat.

Has anyone had this with there ute.

I'm in Brisbane and have had a bit of rain but no water inside. Are there any water marks anywhere else inside? Is the floor wet in surrounding area or has it just pooled in that one spot?

There was a thread or two about this a while back - from memory, one place water was getting in was a faulty seal around the rear of the cab - and one was with water getting in behind the fire wall from under the windscreen. I'll see if I can dig the threads up. Definitely warranty.


edit.. could also be clogged drain outlets in the door channels.

Edit. sounds more like the leak through the plenum chamber and behind the fire wall though. I can't find the thread for it - but it's pretty common - to the point of there being a techline out for it I think. Ricey may know more about it.

If you can get your hands on a complete series 2 version, it will fix the problem. It mounts differently and sits flat - warranty won't cover that part though - which is retarded.

>> VE front suspension clunks and rattles are common but not especially costly to rectify. Worn sway-bar bushes and suspension strut mounting plates are common noise sources but suspension specialists offer a range of upgraded components.

Good luck finding a ser2 plenum. Hexem (Phil) and I have been waiting/looking for months trying to get one. the passenger side is in plentiful supply, it's the drivers side which is the problem side that's seemingly impossible to get for some unknown reason. but yes it is the fix us ser1 guys need as it has a male/ female "V" join that runs along the bottom of the screen under the plenum itself and seals it. shits me to tears too seeing the bodgy ser1 plenum letting water run down everywhere over the back of the engine etc.. If anyone has success finding said ser2 plenum PLEASE let the rest of us know

Very hard to see where it's coming from mate, that rubber car matt you see in the pic is saving my arse right now .

No water is getting through to any carpet in the car at the moment.

Checked all over the rest of interior , and that's the only spot that is effected. Only ever appears after rain, not when driving.
