Just some personal experience...
I've always been a holden man but before I bought my thunder I test drove both BF XR6T A6 and an A4 SSZ 5.7L utes because I thought I would give Ford a bit of a go.
To me the XR6T would have had it over the SSZ. The SSZ felt like a real slug with the 4 speed auto, unfair comparo I know but I was very impressed with the XR6T. Having said that it might have been different if the SSZ was a manual.
Overall the Ford was great but couldn't go past the IRS in the ute, the SS had more of a sporty feel in the cab and I just couldn't say no to the V8!

Xr6t should just beat it depends on the driver and if either car has more fuel in the tank lol

ive had heaps of races with XR6Ts (You persons car of choice where im from)
I own a VX SS, and when it was stock i found that, if i got a good launch, i would stay in front (it was pretty even) but if they got me off the launch, i couldnt catch them.
Saying that if a stock VX SS is even with 225kw, a well driven VZ SS with 250kw should win.
Now with 239Rwkw, havnt had a problem with the XR6 Ts around here except for 1, a blue XR6T with plates MILZ8, that runs 12 flat on street tyres.
