I had the same issue I just fitted 5mm wheel spacers fixed mine.

Had to get the rear guards rolled in my 2001 VX GTS (standard tyres and suspension). Not sure if he is still in the business, but you can check out "Low Down Guard Rolling" Gavin, 0438 892 344. He comes down and does them on the spot (in Melbourne). No damage and a reasonable price.
