You remove the hinge pin on the left then if you look inside the compartment on the right hand side you will see a small cut out in which you insert a screwdriver to unclip the whole the whole mechanism. You then just pull it out, door and all and then you can easily change the clip.

Thanks accentstencil,

What so you mean by hinge pin? And how is it removed?

What parts will I need when I've got it out?

Do I need to remove any other trim from the console?

If you look at the left side where the lid attaches to the compartment you will see a hinge which allows to door to move, in the centre of the hinge you will see a pin, pull that pin out and the door will separate from the compartment. Don't lose the pin.
Then insert a screwdriver into the cutout I described earlier, this will unclip the whole mechanism allowing you to pull it out.
The only part you will need is the new latch clip.
