Get in your 2 piece, and wash it in the rain. Then drive it into the garage and start your cleaning and polishing!

Clean and stock > Dirty and modded

Wheel rotation? Check for leaks? Check suspension and bushes? Check spare tyre? Drink beers while doing it

Well you asked for something free, and keeping you vehicle clean is free lol.

Spend the time fixing any little niggles you have with it. Creaks and rattles etc

:spot on:

in all seriousness though.
if you have left over paint lieing about you could always paint engine covers and so forth.
if you have left over carpet, can make some new floor mats, boot mats, protectors etc.
basically, look at what other "free stuff" you have sitting about and how you could adapt it to your car.

What I do when I am bored on days off and don't want to spend money is:

* Make sure the car is clean (including commonly overlooked areas such as boot, parcel shelf etc)
* Fix any little rattles/squeaks inside (e.g glovebox, ash tray, aircon vents etc, these pop up a lot on a 20 year old car)
* Degrease/pressure wash the underside of the car
* Clean throttle body/Intake
