Hello. I recently bought a Mercedes 450SLC which had been repowered using a holden 304 efi motor and a TH700 Automatic, This previous owners of the car did not know anything about the engine swap but said they thought it was from a 1999 VN.
I am trying to figure out what car the engine etc is from mostly to see if I can sort out a plug and play aftermarket ECU system. I have run a Megasquirt ECU on a different car but from what I gather I may be able to run a Haltec GM Sport ECU which would just plug in and also control the transmission. A local tuner had a quick look at the ECU in the car and said I should be able too, but when I msged Haltec they were thinking the Engine etc was from a VS and that it wouldn't be able too.
