Might just be an issues with the actual outer circumference of your tyres compared to your theoretical circumference.

want to get a VE SERIES 2 SV6
if this is really the case with 2150 rpm at 100 km/h this seems to be a very good gear, but you have said that it would rev at 2400-2500 i cant see how it would be so much variation.

Ok here I go....

My car does 1500rpm @ 100kmh.

I have a 3.45 diff ratio and a 6th gear ratio of 0.5 : 1

Presuming a SV6 had the same gear ratios as an auto V8 you would have a 6th ratio of 0. 67 : 1 and want to fit 4:11 diff gears.

1500 * ((4.11 * 0.67)/(3.45 * 0.5)) = approx. 2400rpm

This is purely for cruising, without even going into the fact that the auto box has a MUCH shorter 1st and 2nd gear than the manuals.....

Non ricer you are not factoring in your current diff ratio, sv6 series 2 come out with 3.27 ratio. Jumping to 4.11 is heaps, some one please correct me but I'm pretty sure your increase in rpm at 100 would be close to 40%. So your looking at roughly 2700rpm at 100km/h. Have fun.
