a manual street car acn shift fasater than a stock auto, it is that simple.
The vs has slightly more wieght than the vr.
And when it comes down to it, speed is guaged by power vs weight.
why you think new vz ss is faster than a gt in a straight line with less power....
gt is a fat pig

my old boy had a vq statesmen v8.
left the fattest blackies that thing flew.
it would flog the club sport i reckon.
my olds boy mates always did burnouts on each others drive ways.
my old boy laugh and put it in reverse and do a bigger burnout on there drive way.
i one childhood memory of that i hope i never loose.
i was about 3 or 4 dad got in the car after a few beers we lived like 3 houses away lol.
i woke in the back seat looking at the speedo at about 180 and the rear of the car seemed to be high then we could see.
he 2 of the fatties blackies i have ever seen.
the rubber was like 3 mm thick.
our neighbour left it over night and it set.
he had to use harsh acids and chemicals to remove the blackies lol.
oh and any v8 new ford at that tiem could not touch it.
even mum won a race against a xr8 lol

That's cos it's a ute mate...no weight in the rear end.. chuck some bessa blocks in the back end of the tray

According to redbook vehicle masses... statesman = 1568 KG vrss (man) = 1415 KG do the math... statesman predict 14.2 sec 1/4 mile vr ss " 14.6 sec 1/4 mile The Statesman has too much advantage being auto aswell !!!

Who would win, a manual vp v6 or an auto vs v6??
Rolling start (about 20ks)

Well... the vp dumps the clutch and launches, blowing a little smoke and reving it head off.

Vs was in second gear, takes a bit to drop back, but when it does it hammers.

VP about 4 car lengths ahead, VS catching fast.

Don't forget in a manual you don't just simply stall it up and "dump the clutch" you have to ride the clutch, just enough to get maximum acceleration without breaking traction, and this only comes from experience
