Can someone explain what the tube that connects to the air intake tube after the maf sensor does, I always thought that this let fresh air into the crank case on the passenger side, and then the driver side had the pcv valve that allowed the positive pressure to be vented along with dirty air back into the engine to be reburnt, but Ive noticed I’ve been getting oil in the passenger side tube, and also a bit of oil in the vaccum tubes. Can someone explain how all the vacuum, pcv system, and passenger side tube systems all work? 08 ly7

I lost the attachment that goes into the back of the engine on the passanger side so i currently have no hose on it at all cars currently throwing low injector voltage codes could this be why? The car also has basically no throttle response to

Wait? Which tube are we taking about? The intake pipe has a dead end tube on it (on some models) before the throttle body. That’s what I thought we are talking about.

I’m going to need a bit more info there.

If you have any part past the MAF sensor (behind the air filter) exposed to drawing in air, you’re going to have a bad time.

That pipe I currently don’t have in, the only codes I have tho are low injector voltages to cyl 1,3,5

It’s part of the PCV system. You currently will have issues with crankcase ventilation and you also have a massive unmetered air leak. The ECM will be working hard to compensate for it. The Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) is behind the air box. It measure the volume of air going in. Aside of a few other sensors between, the O2 sensors at the back are measuring oxygen and all work together to manage injector fuelling.

I would also suggest going to our how to section. Look for Alloytec PCV mod thread. Get that done as well.

I’d suggest replacing the other PCV pipe that connects to the intake plenum and right hand valve cover as well.
