2008 Caprice
I have a 2008 L98 Caprice and it’s just too quiet. I don’t want something super loud but I want it to be drivable and not have drone but still have some noice when I’m hard on the gas. Any suggestions?

MagnaFlow if wanting something not too exi. Or Difilipo if you want top of the range. Both have a very nice note.
Most of the rest of the aftermarket kits will give you a thong slap sound. I hear it a lot due to the garage at work that has Holden V8s coming up the lane way almost daily.

Yeah I hear X Force coming from the garage near work each week. A few sellers boast about it but I too don't think it sounds great. I mainly hear it on the take off, and not meaning to offend but it does tend to have a thong slap to it.

Would love a difillipo system if funds would allow, reckon they sound nice and deep and beefy

It's very hard not to get drone on the Caprice due to the long wheel base nature of them. I had J pipes on an SSV and the exact same set on a WM and the WM had a noticable amount more drone.

I'd go a Manta/difillipo system.

XForce sounds horrible

The Difilipo is the bomb. The Magna Flow sounds pretty decent from idle to full rev. But yeah nothing is as good as Difilipo.

I love the DiFilippo sound.
I don’t think it can be beaten for an off the shelf system.
