3 men are staying in a hotel room. Late one night they decide to order pizza. They ring the lobby. They are told that the pizza will be $30. Half an hour later the bellboy arrives at the room with their pizza. Each guy hands over a $10 note. 3 x $10 = $30. When the bellboy gets back down to the lobby, the hotel manager tells him that there was a mistake and that the pizza should have only been $25. So, the manager gives the bellboy $5, and tells him to go back up and explain the mistake and give the guys their money back. But the hotel manager only has 5 $1 coins. The bellboy gets into the lift. On his way up, he's standing there thinking that the 3 guys can't divide $5 evenly between them, and since they didn't give him a tip, he'll keep $2 for himself (and not tell anyone) and give the guys $3 back, $1 each to make it fair.
SO, each guy paid $9 for the pizza ($10 - $1 = $9)
3 x $9 = $27
plus the $2 that the bellboy kept
$27 + $2 = $29
What happened to the other dollar?
