what is a decent fuel pump?

I got a Fuel Miser before, which lasted 29 months. So next I got a Delphi and that has failed after only 21 months. I borrowed a borehole camera to look inside tank, and there is no rust or sludge. Lucky it is a ute, and easier to change the pump.

i think bosch do a pump for those, main thing that kills pumps is getting any grit into them over time or wiring issues causing them to over heat

I had a GOSS in my old VR for four years and run it dry a couple of times and it still was fine.

Goss are just so "Hit and Miss". I've seen so many warranty claims made against GOSS from my days of working in the Spare Parts game at Rocca Bros.

I saw the price and thought it must be cheap Chinesium crap. I might get one to keep on hand - a relative has a VS as well.

I’ve used the cheap $20 eBay pumps for years without issue. Never an issue with goss either, personally.

Although I primarily run LPG so always have a backup fuel so can afford to run that risk.
