It wont help you know if they are standard or not because they are exactly the same as a Chev spring and you can get 50,000 different ones all with the same inside and outside diameter

just measure the ones that are in there. we will soon know what fits. you get any info on those springs today? failing that, remove a spring and measure the spring seat machined into the head.

You really need to know the "Installed height" of the factory springs (spring seat in the head to underside of retainer with valve shut).
Spring pressures are listed at installed height (ie 200lbs @ 1.750"/450lbs @ 1.200" - my dual springs).

see ebay springs

or

ebay springs2

These should go straight in, as long as your valve lift isn't too high, what are the specs of the cam you're going to use?

check his other thread for cam specs. but the recommended spring was 130lb seat & [email protected] which i think is actually a crow spring.

the beehive spring i found is 125lbs @1.800".......... and is listed in the comp cams catalog as a match for the 914 spring he was looking at which definitely won't fit as it has a 1.440" OD

edit: the recommended spring is a crow item. 7333 [email protected]" [email protected]" lift 1.430" OD and is also a double spring. machining required to fit
