What oil are you currently using?

Edge 5W40 is good oil, so is Valvoline Synpower. Your choice of viscosity. Did your mechanic / engine builder / cam grinder recommend a certain oil weight?
My thoughts on choosing the best viscosity are; Don't go too low, Don't go too high
So I use 5W40 in all the family's cars.

Mechanic changed my oil last time as I wanted a major service. He put in Penrite Premium 5w50.
I’ve used Edge 5w30 or Mobil 1 5w30 when doing myself.

I think it's either 10/10ths which is a group iv base
OR
Hpr 5 which is a group iii base
