Whats it worth? Vh sle?

My rego is due on my vh and im toying with the idea of selling it and buying an lx hatch,
So i am wondering what my sle would be worth these days?

Its originally a 253 trimatic, transmission swapped to top loader.
Indigo blue over silver as on tags, engine bay unmodified

Diff is bw with 345 ratios
Polished walkies with super low springs, bushes and shocks also replaced.

Drives great as a manual

Paint is pretty average, a couple of the usual shopping trolley dings, plus a small mark below the rear bar where the paint has come off. Whoever sprayed the drivers side rear quater hasnt lined the pinstripe up properly with the boot,
It really needs a respray.. Bit of crows foot on the bonnet.

Inerior is generally pretty clean

Dark limo tint all around

I'd say $4k absolute tops. shadowtone respray could be tricky to do right. depends how much rust there is. Based on pics, description and modifications car is between condition 1 and 2, according to Unique Cars value guide, using some maths and interpolation I'd say $4k.

I would hold out for at least 2.5K, more if you can, but there not as hot as the 5.0L brother.

When you can pick up a SL or SLX for around $4k for a six banger, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say if it were mine and I was to sell it I'd be putting it on for no less than $6k but with room to negotiate. These old things are becoming sought after and I wouldn't be surprised if you got a fair bit more than $4k, to the right buyer. If I had the spare money laying around I'd buy off you.

Worth less than you'll want for it, and more than you'll get offered for it. Hope you got some cash to throw on top to get a hatch.

That said, it looks like a nice car, minus what you've said about the paint.
