What's my VS worth?

Unfortunately, I need to sell my VS after needing a new car for the baby and having no room to store it which has resulted in the paint going to ****.
I have an ad up on FB marketplace asking for offers, had everything from $250 to $2K, and over 20 people interested in less than 24hrs.

I'm hoping I can get a little advice on what I should expect for it.

This is the ad:
1996 VS Holden Commodore Executive
3.8L Ecotec
Factory 5-speed Getrag Gearbox
Pacemaker Extractors
Cold Air Intake
Alpine Headunit
17" Aluminium Dragway Wheels

The car runs although it will not pass a roadworthy in its current condition Too low, too loud, minor rust in the spare wheel well and in rear quarter panels just below the taillights.

The odometer has stopped so the kilometers are an estimate, it has probably done a little less than 350K.

The engine has seen better days but still runs, it was my daily driver only up until about 2 months ago.

The paint is no good. The car hasn't been in any major accidents.

Will be sold unregistered
Make an offer.

Not quite at the age where it's a classic, but still more desirable than a VX or VT. I know someone that paid $12k for what was basically a VK shell with wheels.

If you can get 2k for it, you’re probably doing alright. Try asking 4K and see how you go with it. The rust and mileage will have people offering low.
Yeah I think the rust is the biggest issue. I'm thinking of taking photos of the rust and posting it up to avoid people showing up and offering less.
I spent a couple of hours washing it and I'm gonna vac and clean the inside as well tonight. Hopefully make it a little more appealing in the photos.

Do you reckon it'd be worth buffing the car? The back half of the car has no clear so it will not clean up, but bonnet, roof, front quarters etc. I could get the sap stains out.

I do believe it was a decent shell, not like the rusted ex derby pos posted in the 'what do you think they'll try to flog off next' thread.
He's been ripping cars & 4wd's apart since the age of 16, so I have no doubt he'll turn a profit. Sort of guy who'll put a big block Chevy in a Patrol & make it work

I'd say, 2-3k as it's in pretty rough condition but it's a manual, which will fetch a little more...
A manual VS eco would make a great cheap package for track day fun

It wouldn't be fast, but it would be cost effective

If it was local to me I would have already been there low balling with a grand in my pocket
