I think it's the holder for the fusible links.

It is the thermo fan fuses. That is not your VY though is it? I thought they stopped using that configuration after VT.

My manual says its the Fan Fusible Links

Pop the cover off and see what's underneath, like others have said probably fuses.

just wanting to know what the part s called so I can get one on eBay (or somewhere else), my searches have been not the best so far
wanting to get one for a project on my tonner that has a sort of factory look about it
