maybe someone had a PA system on it as I see some little holes there too which may have holded the mic

I had a random switch on an old car of mine, ended up turning that radiator fan off, think it was an override switch or something, nearly overheated the whole car haha. So be careful

I'm actually thinking it might have been for a trailer brake...

Is it possible that it could override the ignition switch so it keeps the battery powering components in the car? I traced the wires back but cant get any further due to panels, etc. After cleaning the car & engine bay the other day i started it and let it idle & was fine, but the next day it was dead, barely unlocked & didn't have enough power to even make the starter tick.

If it was electric trailer brakes would having it switched on still use power as it tries to feed power to wires that go no where? - if that makes sence

If its still wired up then it should connect straight to the battery? Unless someone spliced it...

will have a look after work, there is an extra wire clamped to the terminal clamp but never thought much of it. Will check out where that goes after work
