Went to use the wheel brace that comes standard with the VF yesty arvo.
To my surprise, the whole thing bent to a useless shape, and refused to budge the nut. Its effectively rooted now as a tool.
Used the el cheapo brace I had loaned from my brother, worked perfectly.

Moral to the story, go buy a decent wheel brace.

Here Here!....I substituted a socket and a socket wrench handle for my VF....the socket nut on the jack is the same size as the wheel nut...Alleluia!....hope the jack does not collapse....probably made in Mexico (Victoria).....the problem is the nuts are done up with a rattling gun and no way will they come off with the GMH handle....ah well downgrading for 2017. :surprise:
