Does anyone know the standard front n backspacing for a VX Commodore sedan, does this look right. 5 x 120 Commodore 17 x 7 backspace 4.25 front space 3.7
Castmaine Rodshop has these 17 x 7 Streeters available in various spacing's and for our Rod I was wanting to use the minimum standard fitting.

More cars than I've got space to park!

The rim width is measured at the surface where tyre bead mounts, whereas backspace (and frontspace) is measured at the very outside of the flange lip.

General rule of thumb is ½" per side difference between the two points, so if you add backspace + frontspace it should generally come out 1" greater than the rim width.

So if you have a 17x7" rim with a 4.25" backspace, your frontspace should be around 3.75" (pretty close to your measurements), which would make the offset +0.25"

Yesterday we ordered one front and rear rim in the standard 4.25 front and 3.70 rear spacing.
If they don't do they job then no problem cause we'll have a nice pair of garden hose reels.
