wheel size question take off difference

We have two vns in my family. mine and my mums..

My mums has 14" stock wheels and mine has 15" interceptors.
I find that my mums vn takes off way faster than mine, is this normal ?
I know the smaller the wheel the faster the car will accelerate but is it that much of a difference?

get your measuring tape out...I am pretty sure that they are the same outside ( tread) diameter.......the rims are 1" different in diameter, but the 14" tyres have a higher side-wall than the 15" tyres...( someone correct me if I am wrong though..).......

ill have a look at mates mums vn a bit later.. but im pretty sure ur right rat.. just like with the 17's the profile on the wheel is dropped to make for the same complete diameter

yes thats right rat

e.g. 205 65 R15
= 205mm wide across the tyres foot print (tread)
65 is the aspect ratio .. so 65% of 205 will be how tall the tyre is on the sidewall and R15 means its to fit a 15" rim

hmm.. maybe they are the same size, but i know the interceptors weigh a lot more? would the weight of the wheels affect it?

lol ... your mums hubcapped tyres ARE interceptors .. get a screwdriver and pry off the hubcaps and your lookin at the same wheel ..

no, you stooge. They are black rims and they arnt interceptors, they are stock 14" ugly pieces of ****.

I went to get a set of pursuit rims the other day too and the guy told me to take off the caps, and whalla, a set of black pursuits lol... Needless to say I put the caps back on!

Didnt they start to restrict VN's because they were doing damage to themselves? Yours and your mums could be a different series all together or maybe your mum is a better driver
Yea there are a fair few more variables that could affect it.
