I like them in the dash

That way you cant really see them which makes me feel better and safer.

But havent heard them as much in the doors...

Im fairly sure VR's are similar to the VS, mine are at the bottom of the A pillars. Right down under the windsreen. In the very corners there. If u pull that plate off tweeters will bolt straight in. Well mine did. Then put that plastic plate back on, cant see a thing. Ive angled mine to get sounding good and im fairly happy with mine. It really brings the sound stage up. Alot of ppl said no dnt do it, but i think it sounds good. Just turn the tweeters down a fair way, it makes them alot brighter. If your after a duller sound, mount them in the doors pointing towards opposite head rest. I found them eaisest to mount under A pillars, maybe try that and see if u like it. Dnt want to be cutting holes in doors only to not like it :bang:
See how ya go.
Cheers...

i wouldnt mind flush mounting them under where the stock ones are.

i am still waiting to find a good week so i can go out and get some spilts. though if i wanted to make a mess of things i could just get a couple more 6"s but only woofer style to replace my paper cones untill i get a sub and amps to suit.

When I had the wagon, I put mine above the vents in the doors.
I found it to be a top place for it, and I found it didn't look to out of place.
Only bugger bout it was, it slightly cut into the vents, so made mounting it just a little harder. But in the end it was all good!! :D

Got power mirrors? If so, put them in the mirror cover! Like thins (clearly the car is a VK, but same theory)

on my old vr berlina i put them in the corners under the strips that run along the bottom of the windscreen.
there are grills there but mine were not cut out so i cut then with a sharp knife and cleaned up with fine wet & dry paper
it looked good and sounded gr8
