Which way to undo this idler pulley??

Hey guys I am trying to get this pulley off. As you can see I am slowly stuffing up the head on the bolt. I was wondering which way the bolt needs to be turned, so I can change it over? The car is a VS Series II Berlina. Thanks guys.

just take it easy on the head, might need a bit of tension on it before it'll crack. Could always try soaking in WD-40 to loosen it a bit too.

left hand thread, but dont stress too much if you break it, you can buy the pulley mount for $30 from holden.

i snapped the mount trying to remove the pulley from the snout. 3 bolts to remove it once the pulley is out of the way.

Thanks Nathan. I just sprayed some on there. Lets see how it goes

to undo the auto tensioner you need to go to the right
in this case its lefty tighty righty loosey. so its backwards from a normal thread.

anti clockwise will get it undone, but as it sounds like its screwed and you may break or round the bolt, before you continue go and buy the mount and a bolt off holden (or go to a wrecker if cost is an issue) once you have it, go nuts if you break it who cares, replace it.
if you round the bolt, angle grind it off, as you'll replace mount, bolt and pully.

the bolt on mine was fine, came off with a little force, but the bearing was jammed on the snout, when i put a little too much force on it i sheard it off. my 5min job turned into an 1hour job.
