Hey,

I have just been reading around the forums. And people have been saying they cant get their car to chirp 2nd or even 1st?

I just want to know why. My statesman is stock (aside from exhaust, cai, extractors) with 3.08 gears, auto, no shift kit, 235/45/17's on the rear, with a 15" kicker l7, spare tyre amp, water in the back and i can still get it to chirp 2nd easy.

If someone who cant do it, Try this:
Keep it in 1st, Bring it upto about 3500rpm hold it for a sec then trod on the accelerator, see if it chirps.

Or

Boot it in 1st, and just before it shifts, take your foot off the accelerator, wait till it changes gear, then trod on the accelerator pedal again.

Works every time for me.

As for chirping when a single tyre costs over a grand you soon stop doing that !

See how long your auto lasts doing that....

ah chirping!! Good fun when i first got my car but now i dont do it to often. manual so its so freakin easy.

As for people not being able to chirp their cars there are 10000000 factors that are different on every car with the same engine and specs. some do it, some dont.

The only problem is, only shonky hard compound tyres chirp :) to me it's just a sign of a bad tyre

I agree.. the stickier the better ! even without traction/stability my tyres still grip like no tomorrow.
