If you are the stalker type. And have spent countless hours sitting in your car outside the residence of your would-be partner listening to the radio (or CD) and watching.....forever watching......and waiting. Do I have the mod for you.
This mod will completely illuminate the factory audio deck with the head or park lights off. Presently only the lcd illuminates with the headlight switch set to off when the deck is switched on.
The deck will no longer fully illuminate when the park or head lamps are switched on.
However the deck will now fully illuminate under the following conditions:
Switched on, Acc on, Ignition on and BCM controlled accessory relay on.
Dimmer function is not affected.
BTW. I'm not a stalker. :hmmm:

- You need to remove the audio deck with the proper extraction tools.
- Undo the passenger side trim (see pic).
- Push the deck connector through to the back. This is a bit difficult as the HVAC box is in the way. Perseverance is the key.
- Undo some of the black sheathing.
- Locate the yellow(Y) and brown/white(NW) wires.
- Cut the NW wire.
- You need to splice the NW wire from the deck to the Y wire (see pic).
- Securely terminate the other end of the NW wire.
- Reinstall the connector. As stated, it is a tight fit. Install deck.
