Mate, IMO I would stay clear of that stuff. It may fit and be ok. But why take the chance. If it stuffs up, you will have to send it back overseas as there wouldn't be a service centre here that would probably touch it. Spend a little more on a tried and tested brand.
Alpine, Clarion, Pioneer, ect.
These are all excellent brands, will fit perfectly and have excellent back up services.
I have the Clarion VZ401A single din touch sceen. It's also available in a double din model. Very happy with it.

I'm thinking of steering clear and somehow modifying my standard headdeck to do what I want it to. I'm not overly keen on double dins that don't fit 100%... do you know what the bluetooth/mobile phone connector kit for the car is capable of? I have a Galaxy S3 that I can play music through my personal handfree, will it be able to play through the standard bluetooth kit for VYs?

*part numbers were outlined here*
