I have a VZ Calais which I am looking to replace the speakers in. I was to remove the rear 8" subwoofers and add a single 12" sub in the boot. I also want to remove the other speakers to be replaced with two front 6.5" splits in the front.

If I remove these speakers will I lose the ability to hear the reverse sensors? Is there a way I can prevent this without having to keep the subs in?

Why remove the 8" subs? why not have both? haha.

Yup that's what I did !! .... most important change was head unit and dash tweeters with crossovers.... Eonon G2110F is awesome and you can run torque pro on it with OBD2 data..

I would personally get a set of free air 8 inch subs running of an amp. Far easier and would sound just as good if you sound deaden the parcel shelf. Plus no boot space robbing sub.
