Hi,

I have a set of 16x7 VN SV5000 HSV wheels on my current VN. It is about to be replaced by a VT with IRS and I want to fit these wheels to the VT. I know that IRS rims are a different offset but will it be anything to worry about. That is, will they scrape?

Thanks

My VT calais rims are 48p, think the SV5000 are 28p like my stock calais rims.

I think they will sit out a fair way

Nah the SV5000 is a VN so it'll have the normal offset VN/R/S/T/X/Y/Z. VP's with IRS are the only odd man out

Will fit but don't do it unless your willing to cope with a lot of people going "OMG why would you do that!?"

Wraith,

What do you mean? OMG, like I think when I see a commode bouncing on the bump stops, or with a cannon, or with gutter scrapped 20s (with no rear camber kit), or painted in primer or matt black, or a 8" monster tacho fitted to the interior A piller, or with a homemade unpainted body kit sought of fitted, or a plastic 'carbon fibre and ally' rear wing (with adjustable tilt of course), or painted 'keep cool' calipers, or a wooden steering wheel, or a day glow orange painted interior, or those crappy clear taillights (especially to a VT that still has it's boot garnish), or a 'Unit' sticker across the whole rear window.

Personal choice is personal choice so you should admire your Bob Jane 19s and any of the above that you have mooded your car with. But keep crap opinions to yourself. Of course you're welcome to air any of your tasteful opinions anytime.

To everyone thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Wow is it that time of the month or something? I am all for doing a car your way and have said it multiple times. Just a lot of people do things to impress the masses and I was just saying no one seems to like the SV's on newer cars so will no doubt try to berate your car. If you can handle that then go crazy :) Some people can't handle criticism.
