VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
The ECU only controls the ICE, without the ICE, the ECU is redundant. (In a VT).
I’m suspicious. That sounds like something a malfunctioning BCM would say.

Or, you just control what you want with an aftermarket ECU

We are getting to the stage of getting rid of kid seats as our kids get older.

We have a new shape Mazda CX9, which has been a great car, and can fit 3 kid seats across the back with room to spare. The missus wants to downsize in a few years when all the seats are gone and is keen on all electric, especially the new Benz models. I had a quick look, very nice cars.

For longer trips I have my 200 series.

It makes sense - all of her driving is to the shops or her mums, running around with school pick ups etc. We have 3 phase at our place, so bigger charger? Solar power and battery is also on the cards in the next few years.

I'm finding it hard to argue against the logic, apart from the $$............
