I am looking for a way to replace the unreliable old vane AFM in the VK, and was wondering if the VL hot wire style will work on the VK compter. The VL unit fits and all the wiring is somewhat similar, (the plug is th same, both being bosch products). I just want otherpeoples opinions/experience before i fire up the engine.
cheers

Megasquirt it !!!!!

Check out this site :- http://www.msefi.com/

Build your own EFI computer. Learn a heap about electronics, without having to be an engineer. This site has the best manual I have ever seen for a DIY site. Wire it up with a VK connector so you can swap it with the VK EFI analog unit. Then you can throw away the craptacular vane airflow meter. Megasquirt uses a MAP sensor. Wire up a commodore oxygen sensor and get better economy than the VK ever had. Once this is all done, use the Megasquirt to control spark as well.

You know you want to. :D
