2009 VE SSV M6 on LPG and 2022 Kawasaki Z650L
It's a completely different platform.

In fact it’s the most different platform step change you can get seeing as every Commodore from VB to VZ was based on the German Opel Rekord and the VE was the first 100% Australian designed Commodore platform!

VB-VP was a McPherson strut, and probably the most different, whereas VR onwards use a Chapman style strut.

Fronts are McPherson strut not Chapman.

Chapman are often used in rear setups

The definition between the two, is that one has the stub axle attached,
Whereas the other has the stub or hub knuckle bolted on via a clevis.
So yes you're correct a Camry or Impreza rear would be a Chapman.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
Far out. Why does everything have to turn into an argument.

On that, will the struts from my Corolla fit on my VZ?
