you can get obd scanner that allow you to clear codes and service warnings and such for as little as 5 dollars.

Keep an eye on super cheap for a scanner. They often have them on sale from time to time. I got one worth $150 for $49 on sale. It scans and resets codes and does live engine data logging as well. I decided to buy one because I had intermittent check engine codes going off and every time I went to Holden they couldn't find anything and charged me $120. Ended up being a loose wire on a sensor.
