They probably can but it won't be a direct fit...

I found a video of VF seats being put into a VY:

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
There are a lot of similarities with VZ and VE seats.

However where everything will come unstuck putting VZ seats into a VE is the airbags.

There are differences in wiring will mean incompatibilities and fault codes or worse can occur. Remember that an airbag should be treated as an explosive device. All precautions should be taken to not trigger them by accident. Don’t kill yourself for the sake of modifying the seat into a car that they may not work in.

Your car maybe considered unroadworthy as well.

Wasn't seat air bags just an option on the VE Omega? And did the VZ SS even have them?

Unless I'm mistaken I don't think my SS ute has side air bags, is why I ask.

I’m absolutely sure that a rivnut is not going to secure the seat in an accident. Occupant will continue in the direction of force with a seat attached to them with a seat belt. That wouldn’t pass an engineering inspection at all.

The VZ SS has side impact airbags fitted to the seats.
I will also add that a set of good VZ SS front seats can be worth over a grand and to put them into a VE is a waste.

For far less money, you could easily get second hand VE seats to go back into the VE.

Maybe 2006-7 poverty pack didn't have them, but I think once the FG Falcon came out, they added the extra airbags?

VZ SS had airbags in the front seats from start of production through to the end. As did up spec models.

It was an option on early Omega's (as well as curtain airbags) but later became standard (my Omega has both as standard)
