wipers very slow

i have just bought a 98 vt. the windscreen wipers on fast are slower than those on my work corolla on slow speed. any ideas

mate i have a corolla as my daily and my vx commodore ones are so much slower aswell,
it just how they are

I dunno what the difference is as i have never owned a corolla but i did have an Alfa Romeo GTV and the wipers on that were a **** load faster the the one on my VT. Maybe it's time to get some new ones
