Wiring up brake light on sailplane on vs commodore ute

just wondering the best way to wire up brake light off a sailplane on a vs commodore ute??

1993 vr ute s pack
i put a 3 brake light in my vr ute. what i did was run a wire under the car to the brake lights then i taped into the wire to get the brake signel

Plug it into the trailer socket?

No wait, maybe run a wire to the rear of the taillight and pick up the feed and earth from there?

Just splice it in somewhere? IE the wiring for your other brake lights that way voltage etc is gauranteed. ?

Um take the ugly ass thing off lol. The VS utes are a thing of beauty and those things just ruin the sexiness
