Won’t rev or accelerate

Hey guys, Vt ecotec was running mint, all of a sudden wouldn’t rev at all and wouldnt go over 25kmh. Sounded like a rotary at one point. Not overheating, no oil pressure light. I have no clue what it could be. Brand new plugs, leads, working coils and dfi, working maf, new fuel pump and filter, injectors, inlet manifold gaskets, and much more. I tried to give it some beans at one point and it made this awful grinding noise. Lucky wasn’t too far from home and limped it home going 20kmh. Also makes this wild induction noise, as if it has a pod filter on it with the airbox clipped on or off. Checked the ribbed intake tube and couldn’t find a split or anything. Any ideas would be much appreciated

Sounds like trans has dropped something internal.

Does the engine sound and rev ok in park?

Is reverse any better than forward gears?

Sounds like you have a massive vacuum leak possibly, did a hose fall off somewhere after you did all that work in the engine?

LIM bolted down correctly after doing the intake gaskets?

LIM bolted down correctly after doing the intake gaskets?

Just checked the hoses they are fine, followed the torque sequence in the repair manual
