Hi, excuse my lack of knowledge but what is the heat shield or FIT ?
Assume the heat shield is exhaust ones ?

FIT is a company that supplied performance parts for the L67 and ecotec engines. I believe FIT has totally disappeared now.

MACE is the go to guy for V6 performance parts.

Baha fair call.
In general I understand the theory of having one but kinda thought with the layout of my engine that the rubber intake pipe would not heat up so much from the headers but possible the air flow meter would being metal and retain heat. Might check after driving how much heat seems to linger...
