my car
I thought about a WRX STi when I was shopping around for a new car. When it came down to the E-Series Clubsport R8 or the WRX STi they were around the same price to buy. When it came to insurance though, WOA!!! The WRX STi cost over $3000 almost every quote I got. Whereas the Clubby costs me just $1500.

(that's a 28 male, maximum no claim for life, insurance value of $65,000)

WRX's certainly are bang for your buck but insurance is a killer!

Happy I went with the Clubby though. I think I would have gotten over the size of the WRX pretty quickly.

yeah they are getting popular down here in melbourne but no where near as much as commodores.....

and they are not a really quick car off the line... VERY peaky.... the ones ive drove (bug eye) are not that quick just driving like a granny but if you go over 3000rpm it pushes you in your set all the way upto redline... very nice cars :)

thats why you take off with at least 3500rpm :D

I can't beleive how people can afford the insurance. I've got rating one for life, live in a low crime area, over 25. For a 10 year old wrx I would have had to pay 1k+ insurance.

Nissan Skyline, R34 GT-T (RB25DET NEO) sedan
yeah so ive heard they go ok,
my GF rates em faster than a skyline, myself I have never been in one.

Im wondering how hard do they really go?

What soughta Skyline she talking here...

GTR = No way..
GTT = Would beat the R32 and R33 GTT's (RB20, RB25 with 187kw).

I doubt a rex would be as quick as an R34 GTT...

There's a reason I call them the "new Hyundai Excel"....

I often think that maybe its Excel drivers that are starting to be able to afford a better car, lol.

well maybe they just feel quicker...

it was my gf after all, she would only be guessing, but she probably drove a modded one.

Haha, They're gettin' like a***holes, every c**ts got one!

I work at a Subaru Dealership and got to say, there's a bunch of them around. I could easily live with one if I had the money, they're not a bad car. But I've got more of a soft spot for the old low spoiler, '99-'00 models, they're the lightest and most agile ones. They're a surprisingly strong car too, in stock form they're close to bulletproof.
