EGR - Exhaust Gas Reticulation - I think is reuses unburnt fuel, EPA regulation, keeps it legal emissions wise.

delcowizzid, Pacemaker are certainly excellent, many will say the best, a difference in performance of headers i doubt i will notice, a difference in price definately. THere are dynos floating around showing other brands better performance wise eg. Advance Headers (Press bent, Try-Y) but can they be taken as gospel, Who knows.......... In my choice i wanted the coating done as well, so i shopped around for the best price fitted as i cannot weld etc, and went with that. Especially when speaking to some reputable Exhaust specialist, my choice was limited to Genie and Pacemaker.

Unfortunately a lot of manufacturers call their V6 extractors tuned length simply because they have all three pipes merging into one collector. As delcowizzid correctly states, tuned length extractors have all primary pipes exactly the same length, but the length is what makes them tuned. They have to be matched to the engine to be true tuned length extractors. There is a formula to determine the correct length, but it isn't that critical on a street car.

Just about any extractor will do what you are wanting. The difference in performance on a stock V6 between the bottom and top range of extractors will not justify the price difference.

Wildcat extractors are $370
Pacemamkers are $460

Not an Abba Fan, you have excellent prices.I couldnt get Pacies fitted for less than $650, most reputable ones i knew wanted $700 ! + I even spoke to you about one who wanted $600 fitted for custom no names. I saw something by Pacemaker on a price increase in Jan due to steel costs, so your prices are very good. You prices are excellent with Pacies at $460 + $150 for 2 hours approx fitting time. So $610 is a very good figure ! Even the Wildcats are worth going for, i saw some in the exhaust store and the build quality was pretty good, even though some claim otherwise.

Wildcats are made by Genie, so they are pretty good.

They are a press bent Genie yeah ? With Grey paint instead of a higher temp blue paint. Pacemaker are an offshoot from Genie ? Owners split etc ? But now Genie have new owner, new designs ? Brad was very good to deal with.

Pacemaker have been around for over 25 years. Two guys from Genie left and bought Pacemaker. One guy was a builder, the other guy an R&D guy. They have redesigned and patented their extractor design.

The difference between Genie branded and Wildcats are a bit more than that.
