Hey guys some thoughts please. My 276000 km wagon has started to display a series of lights on the dash randomly. The sequence consists of all orange colour lights (track control, engine lite etc) plus it then displays the airbag light and sometimes the oil light and then cut cruise control if it's engaged. ????????????????????? Any thoughts

Either a faulty ABS module or the alternator over charging.
Start by checking the voltage at the battery with a multimeter with the engine running.
You don't want it much higher than 14.4 volts.
If that checks out ok, disconnect the plug at the ABS module and see if any of the lights go out.

If it is the alternator, get it fixed right away before some serious damage occurs.

Alt is good as just changed battery. Bit hard to disconnect abs while driving, as it only does it while car is in motion. Thanx for your thoughts tho. It only happens spasmodically and only for a short period of time and then resets. Might see if there is a spare abs mod. Down at my mates factory. Cheers

Disconnect it before you start driving, and leave it disconnected for a while and see if it happens then.
Did you measure the voltage of the alternator or are you assuming it's good?

The abs module is in the engine bay on the drivers side.

To disconnect, pull the red lock out towards the engine

did it happen before the battery change over ? might have something not connected properly or not tight enough.

Just because you changed the battery, doesn't mean the alternator is good...

Alternator is fine, it was checked. Thanks for the suggestions it appears to be the abs. Will source a newer one. Cheers all
