When my son had it:

Alternator needed replacing
Diff had to be repaired or replaced (not sure which but it ended up costing $2000)

Since I've had it:

Flip key loose and car wouldn't start. Replacement key did this one time but I've had no issues in the month since.

I also notice a lag in shifting between 2nd & 3rd gears on both auto and active select that's worse when it's cold but for all I know that may be perfectly normal.

-Loud clicking when toggling power windows. (Might be normal?)
-Flat battery after 1200 Kms. (Had to call RACV Roadside Assistance)

Have a 2012 SV6 as a work vehicle ( In Police livery , albeit in mufti form ) , apart from the odd rattle , which comes from all the bits in the boot , no problems , a tad thirsty on the petrol , but thank god for fuel cards .

My ute appears to be magnetic. Everything that goes past seems to crash into it!

I am on VE number 3 now.

2008 MY09 SV6 Manual: Plastic moulding on right hand side of drivers seat broke, replaced under warranty. Traded in at 75,000 km and 2 years 6 months. Not the car's fault, bumped and dented in a car park - culprit never found. Also had a set of windscreen wipers and the radio aerial stolen.

2011 MY11 SV6 Manual: Nothing. Traded in at 51,000 km and 1 year 10 months. Interestingly, it was re-sold by the dealer within a matter of days. Not the car's fault, three tyre repairs and a keyed boot - just love the friends I make in my job. Also had a set of windscreen wipers stolen

2013 MY12.5 SV6 Z Manual: Only time will tell. Still got the original windscreen wipers after two weeks.

VE Omega Series 2, Dual Fuel.
2010 VE Series 2 Commodore Omega Dual Fuel (Auto)-
I bought this car second hand(Ex-Telstra car) in December 2012. The past couple of months, my whole car would feel like its shuddering. This happened at sets of lights and when idling. I took it to the nearest dealership (warranty ends in sept '13) for this and also because sometimes when driving my LPG gauge decides I have no gas left, even if full. They claimed that there was nothing wrong with the car and that they didn't touch the LPG side of things as its "not factory fitted", (when I purchased the car I was told it was) therefore not under warranty of any kind. Only thing they said was to bring it back early one cold morning as it could be just because the car is cold. I told them that was garbage, as these issues are happening at any time of the day and on short and extended trips. This also happens regardless what gear its in including in Park, or whether its running LPG or Petrol.
I rang Holden and asked for the nearest service centre with an LPG specialist. When I booked in, they said they have previously serviced my vehicle (under Telstra's ownership) and yes it is Default LPG Factory fitted- WOOO!
Anyway, my car has gotten worse in the past week. The car has been shuddering more violently and for longer, as well as a fast 'click click click' sound coming from the engine bay.

Sorry for the long winded story. The car is booked in tomorrow, but hopefully some one on here has experienced similar issues and can give me some more info. I feel that because I am a female, my concerns aren't taken as serious and treated as if I know absolutely nothing at all about my car like with previous issues with my old car (astra). I want to go in there with as much info as possible.

Thanks!

1. With all the advanced electronic diagnostic equipment available to the dealers, if half competent they should be able to identify and resolve the problem for you.

2. As your warranty is running out in Sept detail in writing in a formal letter the problems you are having requesting that these be fixed in accordance with the Holden warranty. Make sure your letter is affixed to their paper work. Describe the problems very comprehensively, hand your letter to the service centre and keep a copy for yourself. If Sept comes and the problem is not fixed to your satisfaction by then you have a formal written record that you reported and asked for the problem to be fixed when under warranty. As it was reported prior to the warranty expiry and not fixed properly (or not at all) they are obliged to rectify the problem for you (after the warranty expiry). You should not need to do this but it avoids any future "he said ...she said" arguments about what you requested and reported and you need to protect your position with the warranty.

3. Tip for the future - do not ever buy an ex fleet car.

4. Be persistent and best of luck with it.
