I've borrowed money for a car a couple of times,Never again.The last time was about 9 years ago.
Only time I would borrow money from a bank is for a house or to buy a business.

I bought my wagon outright and took out a loan for most of the calais. I only did basic mods like a cat back exhaust and rims while I still owed money on it. I saved hard and had it payed off in under 2 years, so then I started doing more mods to the car once it was mine.

Mine was originally through the bank had too much money invested and would have lost all my interest so had a loan for 2months. Still claimed some back on tax too .

Own mine out right - husbands cruiser was a loan then bundled in with house loan.
He had a vz ute before the cruiser that was owned out right too. My old VT was out right. All other cars prior were through the bank. We just weren't in a financial position to pay cash. Now we are.
