today i lowered my vt with some springs that are just way too low, i can feel every bump in the road and feel like im in an old 4x4 offroading on nice smooth roads, i havnt changed my shocks yet, yes i know i know, ill put pics up tomorrow arvo after work but it is just too low and i think i made a bad decision. will shortened shocks make a big difference in ride feel or not really. i only did the backs today as its really easy so it looks pretty funny.

short springs are typically very stiff. a bloke i know put 'super low' springs in his vs ute a couple of years ago and id say hed be looking for 2 new kidneys by now. the ride was absolutely terrible compared to my ute which just has 'low' springs in it.
why doesnt dad dump his calais 2" and put 19x8's on it? youre beginning to discover why with your vt by the sounds...
i dont think changing shockers will help ride comfort very much if youre running heavy springs.

shocks will help, but.... remember.... this is the price we pay for **** hot looking cars!

mine rides like a pig, but, looks hot and handles awsome, well when i have 18's all round insted of 18's/15's, anyway! weigh it up, looks + preformance or comfort!

aZk.

That looks ok to me. It looks a little lower than mine but I have 18s on my car.
Also, I feel every bump on the road too. As someone else said, that is the price we pay :)

Yeah man, mine looked exactly like that when i had the standard 15's on... scraped everywhere too... don't go down a gravel road either ha ha... iv'e got Dobi Superlows, but now have 18's and she sits perfectly.. there's a pic in the rides section.. i really woulden't recommend to anyone to add superlows without getting aftermarket rims.

Lol, that looks too low man, although the picture isn't the best top judge since its not straight on. No wonder your feeling everything. I hate bumpiness, prolly why ill never lower a car to that extent. You cant tell me that it handles a heap better that low either.

If your shocks are gone it will make a big difference to ride, particularly if the shocks are adjustable (and adjusted correctly) or matched to the spring. It will still be a hard ride though. Any std spring must not be replaced with a softer spring- so modification laws say.

Ever ridden in a STD height car, particularly a small one, where the shocks are absolutly buggered? Big difference in ride when shocks are changed
