by standard climate control u mean the ones that are standard with executives and the likes?

if it is, then i think its a bit more complicated than just plaug and play, but could be wrong

yeh its been asked several times

Simple answer yes its possible, do you want to do it on a VZ? No ... Bear in mind these are based on people wanting to do it to lower end models such as Exec, SV6 etc, but the idea is the same .. if you currently have 3 round knobs for your AC and want to change it to the cool LCD digital panel on any VZ, then everything below is relevant

This comes up a lot, and the answer is basically that yes it can be done, but very few people do because of the cost and complexity. Aside from the controls/facia the heater box is different I think, you may need a new BCM, there are tons of sensor etc and for the marginal benefit that is climate control (esp. single zone) it's hard to justify doing it.

yes the heater box it different, as the standard type uses vacuum solenoids to control temp and duct selection - the electronic control - not surprisingly - uses electric motor solenoids. You also need a different BCM, you need the climate control button panel obviously, you need a different centre console panel to accomodate the above control module, you'll probably need to buy the other console panels so they colour match with the new centre dash panel, you need an altogether different wiring harness, and you'll need to competely dismantle the dash to swap all the stuff over. It's a HUGE job, and would surely end up being VERY costly.

, ud need a level 3 dash loom and extra sensors, plus level 3 bcm, if that would even work in an exec

Fitting the auto CC, is as above, just very time consuming & expensive. I did consider it at one stage until i found out its not worth it.

Agree with above post, it's not worth it. There are sensors and **** yuou need to put in and fiddle with, all sorts of electronis and crap that need to be installed and modified to work, use the heater + window and do it the old fashioned way

hey mate, i was researching this myself a while ago on the forum and it is just NOT worth doing it, youre gonna fork out alot of money and a BIG load of time! i was willing to pay anything for it as it would look better than the standard controls but in the end i realised its just not worth it

lol no worries!

On earlier models like VS for example it wasnt quite so hard because it was more or less a matter of plug and play with some additional wiring and sensors, was still fiddly but possible ... but on VZ forget it unless your absolutely desperate for it.

you could just start it as a new topic and ask the question ...

but it sounds like the door actuator has gone, the 5 beeps is to let you know there's a problem "and the cars not secure" which you know because the drivers doors not locked
