Time to retire my old trusty 20 year old, 12v 20w iron (converted to transformer) which now has trouble melting 1.0 mm 60/40
and dig out my trusty 25 year old 40w 240v iron (which I just found).

You've been a faithful companion over the years....joining wires, applying heat shrink, burning fingers and melting thongs.

Totally get it... I'm always wielding a tired and worn out one, usually from being jammed into too many tight places it shouldn't be.
