If it was a v8 a tune would help , for a v6 thou waste of money .
For a v6 new air filter , oil change , spark plugs etc , maaaybe a new exhaust to flow a little better but dont expect a rocket ship out of it
Are you speaking from experience about the tune?
The V8 does benefit more from a tune for sure, but once my V6 Adventra was tuned, I noticed better acceleration and power all round.
No rocketship (well, maybe a lead-laden rocketship - it goes fast once it gets really rolling), but the biggest difference was over 90 km/h where on a stock Adventra 6, the acceleration was terrible.
It made overtaking a bit of a crap roll. After the tune, no worries - it just keeps accelerating more and more and gets hard to slow down!
I echo the other advice about early oil changes.
I do my oil and filter every 5,000 km. Oil is cheap compared to engines.
