you dont really need a catch can for it but if you really want one then try contact the company and find out if they have local distributors

if you cant find anything commodore specific the lfx was used in the following vehicles

That's a bit of a screamer 239kw@6800! What's the difference with that LFX engine vs the VF version?
If you spend some coin on them you can get reasonable gains. Mine has had some massaging and is around 270kw at 6900rpm.

Yes for sure if you massage the engine a bit. I'm wondering what the factory difference is with the Cadillac ATS and the Commodore engine?

by the look of it the lfx would on average push out 300hp but i would guess that the version in australia was (de)tuned to be more emissions/fuel conservative.
the version in the ats/cts is probably just tuned more for performance bumping its hp up to 321 from 304~308

they squeeze 335hp out of the lgx while the zb here only got 315hp

Ive always wondered the same thing regarding the Caprice PPV. Given it came out of the same factory as the VF, and the powertrain from the same engine plant, yet puts out 224KW with similar torque being available down low. Was it a difference in the tune? Different internal bits?

Ive always felt that Holden in part de-tuned the true potential of the VE/VF LFX V6's to make the V8s look more appealing. I mean heck when the L77 was the V8 power plant, if the 6 was knocking out near 240KW like the ATS, doubt as many people would have gone the 8!

I am sure most buyers wont see it that way but I did not get my l77 based on stock KW figure. The potential is massive as probably the world's most modded (and easiest to mod) engine - everything i've done to it is my own doing (except tune) and I now have 350rwkw

Probably just dodgy Cadillac figures listed by dodgy General Motors...

From a quick read on it, the engines are the same except for the intake manifold on front wheel drive versions and the only variables are intake (airbox), exhaust and tune apparently.

I drove an early VT SS with the 5 litre Holden motor a few weeks ago and I'd be confident to say that a VF SV6 would smoke it. Not long ago, we thought the Holden EFI V8 was pretty fast! A stock L77 with their tall diff ratios were a bit lame I thought.
