When you say freeplay do you mean how much it can be turned easily without it springing back? Or the total maximum distance you can twist the flywheel by hand - the problem I have with this statement is how hard am I supposed to be twisting it?

Can someone tell me how much movement is allowable for a getrag dual flywheel. I've got one here that I can twist slightly by hand and it springs back nicely, I think it's in good nick but is there a limit listed in the manual or something to determine whether a flywheel is getting worn?

They leak both oil and water... That plate on the back of the engine holds in the oil around the crank with the rubber seal (the rear main seal) but it also has to seal 2 nice big water chambers at the top left and right. Keep in mind that the water chambers are under pressure and in my own...

Thats the problem... I didn't CC my chambers before putting the heads back on. On the compression calculators i've tried I was getting about 9.8:1 which sounds like too much of an increase over stock for just a 15 tho shave

Can anyone tell me how much higher my compression ratio will be after a 15thou shave off of my heads? I've tried to use online compression calculators but didn't have all the necessary measurements to get a definitive answer. Any rough ideas? It doesn't sound like much of a shave...

No i'm running standard springs with YT rollers. I went right through the engine and replaced anything that I could see potentially failing in the future and I figured that if I had to buy a timing chain at all then I may as well buy a double row chain, I wanted to disable the balance shaft...

I threw a double chain in mine last month as part of a big engine freshen up, and haven't started it back up yet. Should I pull the timing case again and remove the tensioner??? Is there any benefit, I mean apart from no tensioner wear? Quieter?
